blonde nuggets on a gold chain,
remodelled weekly and
off to the ball,
sequined and v-necked,
in low-slung European cars.
Bankrupt of remembrance,
Doris Day's a front for fraud,
a tango gayly-armed to flaunt
the husbandry of earned esteem
that generates wealth, and a fault
helfted on weary stars.
